Hello and welcome back to InfoVideoGamer and I am here with some DLC news!
Now up until yesterday the DLC for Call Of Duty: Black Ops 2 called Revolution was exclusive to the X-Box 360 console. But not anymore! Now you’ve had a long day of classes, work, sitting on your butt, whatever, and all you want to do, is sit back in your favorite lazy boy, and blast away some Noobs with a brand new gun. Have I got it?
If PC or PS3 is your platform of choice, you’re in luck. The first DLC for “Black Ops 2,” Revolution, is a go.
First released on Xbox 360 late last month as a timed exclusive, the DLC pack includes four brand new multiplayer maps:
1. Grind – An abandoned, but still well-kept skatepark in Venice, CA.
2. Hydro – A large map that allows players to use a Pakistani dam and water to their advantage to block paths and stop enemies.
3. Downhill – A medium-sized map based in the French Alps complete with snow, chair lifts, and a strategically placed lodge.
4. Mirage – This Gobi Desert multiplayer map utilizes sand dunes to provide different levels of elevation and a sanctuary in the center as a natural chokepoint.
The DLC also adds an extra “Zombies” map, “Die Rise,” set atop a Shanghai skyscraper, as well as “Turned,” a new mode of play where players, now controlling zombies, attempt to catch and eat a lone soldier. Romero would be proud.
In addition to the maps, and zombie game mode, Revolution brings with it the first ever DLC weapon for the franchise, the Peacekeeper. A combination of “Black Ops 2’s” multiplayer mode’s most popular gun classes, SMG’s and assault rifles. Combat designer Anthony Flame describes the gun as having “the lightweight design of an SMG, but with better range and accuracy at the cost of close quarters firepower. It’s a great weapon for objective modes like Hardpoint, where you need to quickly get into position and cover objectives from a safe distance.”
Overall, the DLC is a great way to improve your “Black Ops 2” experience. It’s available for free for Season Pass holders, or non-members can grab it for $14.99.
Well, that’s all for me this week guys! I will see you all on Monday with some New Games News!
